- Description: Society gossip, some parliamentary affairs, letters from the Bisshopp children. Several letters relate to Lieutenant-Colonel Cecil Bisshopp (Lady Bisshopp's eldest son) and his military service in Upper Canada during the War of 1812, fighting against the United States:
f.63/20 - Relates to the assassination of Prime Minister Spencer Perceval on 11th May 1812; shortly before his death he had met with Cecil Bisshopp to discuss requesting the Duke of York to excuse him from his posting to Upper Canada.
f.63/23 - From Henry, 3rd Earl of Bathurst and Georgina, Countess of Bathurst to the Hon. Robert Curzon. Dated 17 October 1812 and written from Brighton. Offering condolences and enquiring for an account of what happened.
