- Description: CONTENT WARNING. Written from Fort Erie. Shows name of General Stanton at bottom of letter but unclear if he (or his office) are the recipient or the sender. Giving instructions to destroy pork kept in 'Mr Dennis' Barn' by setting fire to the barn, to prevent it getting into the hands of the enemy. At this time, the British had evacuated Fort Erie to join with the regiments commanded by Brigadier-General John Vincent, who had retreated from Fort George under American attack.
