Also mentioning Cecil's servant Reece, Barnard's intention to visit the family himself on his return to England, and his own grief at Cecil's demise. Enclosing a letter to Cecil from Sir George Prévost. A note on the back of the letter reads 'Lt Barnards letter with account of Cecil's death. Received Thursday October 21st 1813'.
